  • Pre-Engineered Metal Building Foreman

    Summary + Objective

    Steel Foremen are responsible for leading a Steel crew to perform work safely and productively. Responsible for managing their daily production goals and solving daily leadership challenges for their crew while fostering a positive culture.

    Essential Functions/Responsibilities

    • Ability to understand the individual skill levels of each crew member.
    • Has strong time management skills and ability to meet crucial deadlines.
    • Prep truck and equipment for each day’s production goals.
    • Good social skills.
    • Problem solving.
    • Relay needs to the proper people.
    • Ability to plan ahead.
    • Prepare material prior to assembly.
    • Hoisting and guiding components into place using cranes or telehandlers.
    • Working from mobile elevated work platforms and operating them.
    • Install fiberglass building insulation, metal cladding, standing seam roofs.
    • Rig hoist and move material.
    • Install insulated metal panels, windows, passage doors.
    • Extensive knowledge of hand and power tools (hammers, levels & squares, circular saws, impact drills).

    • Assists the crew with handling tools as needed.

    • Measure, mark, and cut aluminum composite panels using CNC routers, panel saws, shears, or other cutting equipment.
    • Rout, fold, bend, and form ACM panels using brake presses, routers, and clamping systems.
    • Fabricate ACM/MCM metal panels with attention to panel joints and structural performance.
    • Assemble panels using fasteners, adhesives, and sealants as specified in fabrication manuals or drawings.
    • Inspect fabricated panels for dimensional accuracy, finish quality, and consistency before delivery or installation.
    • Maintain fabrication equipment, ensuring blades, bits, and tooling are in proper working condition.
    • Keep fabrication areas clean and organized, returning tools and materials to their proper locations.
